The house is perfectly situated - 5 minutes walk from the main square. Peaceful area - a perfect base to explore this beautiful city. Our host welcomed us personally with a smile and looked after everything we needed including recommendations for restaurants, bars, sight-seeing, etc. 5/5, 10/10 - I hope to return!
Our group was myself, my 6 month old baby and my mother with atrocious vision. We all really enjoyed our stay. The beds were immensely comfortable and had it not been for my son I’m sure I would have stayed in bed and missed the city so hurray for babies!
The wood fire was a lovely addition to the night we stayed in.
Sandrine was a lovely host. Garage was very very handy and the house is situated just near enough to everything but ever so quite street.
Would love to return this autumn but we shall see!
What a fantastic location this property is in! A few steps and you're in the heart of Bruges! Sandrine could not have been more welcoming and we would happily have spent more time chatting about all that Bruges has to offer if we could only have stayed longer.
The house is large with plenty of room for a big family and has lots of quirky, traditional touches. The log fire was a distinct bonus at this time of year and the main living space is superb. The kitchen is a little small but we had no intention of preparing our own meals on this trip anyway and we really did have everything we needed. Anyone familiar with Bruges will tell you that parking is at a premium so having our own space to park adjacent to the property was extremely useful.
If you are looking for an authentic property with a host who is happy to help in any way that she can (without being intrusive) then look no further.
This was our 6th visit to Bruges and so we are very familiar with the City but cannot wait for our 7th - we wouldn't hesitate to stay at Sandrine's house again.
This is a good option for a short stay in Bruges.
The house is in the heart of Bruges so you can walk everywhere and pop back with shopping or for something to eat.
We were in a rental car so it was good to be able to safely store it in the garage rather than park on the narrow streets.
The house is about 200 years old and quite quaint. The stairs treads are quite narrow so it may not suit someone with mobility issues.
The house is well furnished with comfortable beds, two doubles and a single. We particularly enjoyed the living room and had a lovely evening around the fire.
Sandrine met us on arrival and was very helpful, showing us the house and making suggestions for restaurants.
We would definitely book this again.
We booked this apartment for two nights while visiting Bruges with our daughter. Sandrine provided great communication and lives next door, so was readily accessible. The apartment is old, keeping in the character of the city itself, but was very clean. There is even a small wood stove in which we enjoyed fires at the end of the day and Sandrine provided coffee that you could make to start day. Just remember it is an apartment and not a hotel so bring your soap and shampoo. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay in Sandrine's apartment and highly recommend it should you be looking for a place to stay in Bruges that is only a 5 minute walk to the historic center.
Just returned from 3 nights in this beautiful city and beautiful house. A very quirky and stylish 3 bedroom house right in the heart of the city. Less than 5 minutes walk to the square and cathedral. Easy access and parking in the garage next door. (Big enough for my camper to fit in).
Sandrine was a lovely host and looked after us. Bruges is a truly beautiful city and was a great base to do the battlefields.
