Thank you TripAdvisor, when we read the reviews, we thought that this sounded like just the restaurant for us after a huge disappointment for lunch on the previous day. Down a charming little alleyway it is not easy to find, be like us and get someone to draw the route on a map. The place was packed with locals, and a charming couple sitting next to us guided us to what to eat there, lovely homemade foie gras to start, which we shared, followed by a wonderful coq au vin for my wife and fillet of lamb with green cabbage for me, both delicious. Service was incredibly friendly and we loved the place.

We had a lovely dinner experience at this restaurant. We read the Trip Adviser comments so we booked at 2pm for a 7pm dinner; good job we did as we got the last table!
It was quite small so it felt more personal and we really liked how accommodating and friendly the owners were. The food is more on the cured meats and cheeses side, so if you like that then you will be sorted. They also serve coq au vin or duck cassoulet, with specials of fish or steak on the day that we went. For me personally, the menu was a little different to what I would normally choose for dinner but it was great to try something new (and quality) and the friendliness of the ladies was the highlight. They apparently specialise in wine so worth sampling some from the extensive range too.
The only thing that I would advise is to be prepared for a French/Flemmish only menu and come ready to ask the ladies to help translate - they seemed to speak at least 5 languages so you should be fine!
Food tip.. The duck cassoulet was very good and quite filling. The prune, rum and armagnac cake was definitely not for those needing to drive home! Yum. (Good job my partner drove!)

Make reservations early as this small, cosy and romantic restaurant in one of Brugge's smallest alleys quickly fills up. For good reasons as the food was simply superb; simply put if you haven't eaten here you haven't experienced culinary Brugge :-)
We enjoyed the service as much as the food, the hosts were very helpful and friendly; be prepared to take your time eating as this certainly isn't 'fast-food'.
All-in-all something not to miss out on!

This restaurant is difficult to find as it is located in an alleyway off one of the side streets.Very few tables so need to make a reservation. It was the best retaurant we visited on our trip to Bruge. It was recommended by our host and she was kind enough to call for us.

The place is tiny, run by sisters and the food is awesome. One of the owners was our waiter who kindly brought us through the menu and then suggested the wine. It all went together very well...one had steak, the other duck.

We thought the price was fair value for the quality of the meal and the experience and would definitely return for another great evening.
