I booked a meal here for my birthday with my girlfriend. I'd recommend ringing ahead to ensure you get the reservation, but they speak English so don't worry if your French isn't great!
The menu has a fairly wide choice, but being tourists, we stuck to two fairly traditional Belgian dishes - the Flemish stew, which is the best we had across our few days in the city, and the steak frites, which was juicy and cooked perfectly to our requirements.
It's not especially cheap, but the intimate venue is good for romance, and the service is personable without being forceful.
We randomly bumped into the couple who were staying in the room next to us in our hotel in Gruuthuse Hof too, demonstrating that the reputation of the restaurant definitely precedes it.
Strongly recommend for couples looking for an intimate venue for a special occasion.
