Was recommended to visit. All was good to excellent with the spoiler being cold pasta side served with the main course. Even the quality of the Monkfish couldnt overcome this. Service was friendly. Downstairs seems to have a nicer ambience than upstairs. Starter of snail and mushroom in a soft curry sauce was excellent. I was probably just unlucky with the pasta. Overall a fantastic menu with lots to catch the eye - I love having a difficult choice to make from a menu.

Slightly off the beaten track but cosy evening. I had the Duck with raspberry sauce - really unusual and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

We chanced on this restaurant because it was close to the hotel we were staying at and it was too cold to walk very far. Our good luck. A small, intimate restaurant run by a very nice couple who clearly enjoy cooking and the presentation of the meal. We had dinner there twice and really enjoyed both times.

Visited 28th Dec 13 with my family (6 adults). Slightly out of town but worth the walk. Compact downstairs but great atmosphere. The 2 ladies and Chef made us feel relaxed and comfortable.
We has starters from frogs legs, shrimp, lobster and pate all prepared beautifully. Mains consisted of Ribeye, duck, venison and lamb again all prepared and cooked to each persons requirement.
On our experience we would recommend anyone to visit and certainly we would return if returning to Bruges. (6 adults - starters, mains, desserts and 4 bottles of wine - 380 euro)

First meal in Bruges on arrival.
Obviously a man and wife working along side each other. Him being the chef and cooking everything on a open fire.
It was a joy to watch someone care about your food and caress your chosen meat. Food was very nice and menu had a really good choice. I had a rack of lamb which was very good quality.
Downside on this place is it understaffed and relies sorely on the miserable wife. And we felt to scared to ask for bread, more drinks as we didn't want to bother her.
This place clearly needs a helping hand / young waiter or waitress to help serve food. As I wouldn't recommend going here as I felt guilty being there and in the way. The wife needs a rocket up her backside and to learn to smile.
Shame as food was really good.
Feel sorry for the husband / chef - as she will damage this business.

Thank phil l
