Crossing a small canal and linking the grounds of the Church of our Lady with the courtyard at Arentshof is a fairytale-like Bonifacius Bridge. This gorgeous walking bridge has the appearance of being from the medieval period but was actually constructed in the early 20th century.
You can take lovely pictures of this bridge on both sides. However, we found it covered with tourists each time we passed during midday. If you want to take unobstructed pictures of Bonfacius Bridge go during early hours of the morning before the crowds arrive.
In the end, this is a charming bridge to see and cross and it is conveniently situated near major attractions in the area including those mentioned above as well as the Groeninge Museum and Gruuthuse (presently being restored). This is a place worth finding in Bruges.
