This was our first stop on a motorcycling tour of Belgium & Holland, en-route to the European Shadow Meeting near Eindhoven, Holland. For the first time ever we broke down and were delayed by some 6 hours. So to arrive at the Guesthouse at 12.30am and still receive a warm & friendly welcome was fantastic & a relief. We found the place easily, unlike some on our trip, and that Google Earth have it on the wrong side of the street. The Guesthouse is beautiful. Nice contrasts with old and new. The room was excellent, very comfortable & clean and well laid out with a modern en-suite bathroom and fantastic shower. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and with large delicious pastries. There is free wi-fi, TV’s in the rooms, a tea-room & bakery. Secure bike parking is available in the property too. The owners were very helpful, suggesting places to see and providing us with a voucher book for the sites (Make sure the owner stamps and fills in their part prior to using). We can’t recommend the place and owners enough. Thanks for a great stay. We will certainly be returning next year.

FGantastic value, location and hosts. We travelled by mlotorcycle and were pleased to be able to park in the secure courtyard. The accomodation was immaculate and breakfast very good. The owners were extremely pleasant and helpfull and recommended places to visit, eat etc. The location was convenient for all historical sites and although we didn't use it there was a regular bus service to Ypres and Rosleare. Highly recommendedand we would definately visit again with no hesitation.

Team of 3 guys stayed in May '12 for 4 nights while taking part in a 3 day 100 km trek around the Ypres battlefields. We were made very welcome by Stijn and Nele, the young couple running the hotel, which is modern with an emphasis on natural wood in it's structure. Rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, constant hot water and efficient showers (not always the case in Belgian hotels!), which were welcome after 8 hours walking. The continental breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of bread and fresh croissants made, I believe, by Nele herself. The hotel is set in a pretty village, with a couple of bars, shops, and a very good restaurant at the far end on the main road. The museum next to the hotel, containing a rebuilt ww1 bi-plane which crashed locally and biographies of pilot aces, is fascinating and a must for anyone with an interest in aircraft or wwi history. A thoroughly enoyable stay, and hope to be back in the not-too-distant future
