Alchemy has long been practiced by wizards and is the act of turning base metals into the noble metals gold or silver, as well as an elixir of life conferring youth and longevity. The chef’s of de Blauwe Maan have (once again) proven to be magical in transforming a combination of day-to-day and “forgotten” ingredients into something exquisite and unforgettable.

With explosive combinations of all five basic tastes and vivid texture - achieved by extraordinary cooking techniques, such as dry freezing seafood, fruit and vegetables - the chef’s manage to stimulate all your senses by finally placing all ingredients on that plate with a mesmerizing color palette.

If you want to experience fine dining for a reasonable price, this is the palce to be!
Another plus is the fact that you have quite a few different wines which you can drink by the glass!
I've been there on several occasions and have never been diappointed.
For saturday evenings, reservation is a must!

I took my wife for her birthday to the Blauwe Maan. It was recommended to us by our neighbour. There was never a moment that I regretted this choice. We were very well received in a nice environment with a modern stylish look. Very thoughtful and friendly waiter. Excellent food for a more then acceptable price. If you are a really big eater the portions could be a little bit bigger, but for us it was right, small starter and 3 dishes. The tastes were surprising. In total there were about 12 people in the restaurant, we stayed there for about 2 hours.

Tucked away in the street winding from the market the blue moon is a pleasant restaurant. On the menu are old fashioned ingredients from the Low Countries like sea bream, turnips, rhubarb and horse meat but then transformed to the new age. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. The dished were served with a pleasant interlude, the service was super friendly, the wines were very nice and the dishes looked amazing. It's well worth a visit.

I went here last week and me and my client ate here the weekmenu, which was reasonably priced. The house wines were very good priced and went well with the food.
The appetizers upfront made it complete.
