The restaurant serves good, authentic Moroccan cuisine. The food tastes' are great. The hotel also serves good wines. The hotel provides good service & suggestions and also great explanation to the different menu items. Try the Tajines or Couscous with different meat skewers.

My husband and I have been to Koutoubiya four or five times in the last couple of years, and we're always very pleased with it. The food, atmosphere, and service are all excellent. Tonight, I had a goat cheese salad served with a "salami" made from figs, raisins, and pistachios - very special and delicious! For my main course, I ordered another starter, a pastila of chicken with almonds in filo with powdered sugar on top. I had this for the first time almost 30 years ago, and have loved it ever since. The one served at Koutoubiya didn't disappoint!

There are many great restaurants to choose from on the Muntstraat, but for a unique, very special evening, head for Koutoubiya!

We're regular visitors here as this place is one of our favourite restaurants in Leuven. The staff know us by now and this means that we always get that little extra special service, you know, the waiters come and shake our hand, the boss comes and says hello. They always seem to find some space for us even if the restaurant looks totally full. But of course there had to be something we liked before we turned into regular visitors and that is the food.

It is absolutaly delicious. I often order the same thing as I really love what they are able to do with ginger and apricot and prunes. Not only does it taste wonderful but the food is presented lovely as well.

Make sure you try and sample one of the morocan wines.

If you find yourself in that tourist trap known as the Muntstraat, Koutoubiya is definately one of the places to go.

If you like Moroccan food, you will not be disappointed. Situated on Muntstraat, Leuven's food-street, you can sit outside and watch people (while they watch you eating) or inside for a more private atmosphere. The service was friendly and reasonably efficient. Also the Moroccan red wine we had was tasty and matched the food very well.
