We never go to "steak" restaurants except for this time when our American friends who just had a 9-day cruise on the Rhone wanted to eat a real good steak. We googled for the best steak restaurant in the centre of Brussels, but the one we found was closed for the 2-day holidays. We tried Leuven, found Meating Room and we were convinced by the positive reviews. The restaurant is a long hall, not fancy at all, but location is good, the place is clean, and the "server" at that time was friendly. We were surprised by the number of choices:
meat from Argentina, Belgium, France, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, and perhaps Japan basing on its name "Wangju" (visit their website for details). The different steaks we had were tender and tasty. Our food included green salad and Belgian fries/boiled potatoes and choice of varied sauces. The four of us agreed that it's one of the best steaks we've ever tasted.
