The restaurant location on the local river is really an attraction itself. It has cavernous feel with many levels and rooms with an outside patio seating by the river which gave it an awesome ambience. Between walk in and word of mouth diners the restaurant was busy and gave us the confidence that we should look forward to a delightful meal.
The menu us typically local with a great mix of local meat, poultry including pigeon, and fish dishes. We started with foie gras & salmon with artichokes which was cooked as close to perfection as we ever had. We then segued into oysters and veal both of which were cooked well. It was visually appealing and The taste, texture and flavor was validated when we ate the dishes. The food sauces in blended well in each of the dishes we tasted and as wanna be foodies found very little to complain about the food.
However good the food tasted the service in comparison was perfunctory, and seemed to be hit and miss affair. For a fine dining restaurant hopefully they raise the level of service to match the food served.
