This was a trendy restaurant/bar with a modern decor. Although the place was packed, we didn't think it was that special and it was really noisy (we almost had to shout to understand the person on the opposite side of the table). Food was average, nothing different for the other bistros that serve steak etc. Price was fair.

We picked the restaurant for a lunch. My wife went for the plate of bruschettas, which was just great. I had the daily menu : a great soup and meat balls. The food was well prepared, original and taste. The atmosphere of the place is great and the service is absolutely ok. We would return here for a meal.

We went for a couple of drinks before our meal at Du Progres round the corner. We were attracted to the place because of a guy playing a guitar and singing in the courtyard area directly outside (well I was attracted by that, my partner was a little put off but I'm the boss). The beer was ok- typical Belgian beers: nothing unusual or exciting, maybe a little on the expensive side. As with most of these places our drinks came with some nibbles. It was a nice atmosphere sitting out there by the heaters on a cold February evening listening to the music, and other people seemed to agree as it got progressively busier as we sat there. We didn't try the food and probably wouldn't as it seemed more of a bar serving food rather than a restaurant: when there are so many amazing restaurants in the area why settle for anything less than delicious?!

Food was terrible. Bread was old came from the freezer....sure, We odered a medium/rare grilled Chateaubriand but it was dry and like rubber. Same for the grilled Tuna it was dry and tasteless. Although the waiter said it will be grilled on both sides for a short time. Sure this Tuna was pre grilled and came from the fridge. After we complained the waiter responded: see what I can do. So another waiter came to tell us that if it is put on the grill again it will be more dry! What an answer! No sorry....nothing. Also our empty bottle of wine was taken away without any question. Never again this place. Bad Food and Bad service.

You wouldn't expect a decent kitchen in a lounge restaurant but that's exactly what makes Godot worth waiting for your meal and hey, it's there much faster than Beckett would make it. Friendly students take care of the Flemish stew, the cooked fish, OK salads and the real "Frieten". Value for money and worth another visit if only to check if the music (awful Moby & other dated stuff) is over.
