This was my second time staying at Cuberdon. And when I knew I was going to be back in Belgium there was no where else I wanted to stay. Our flight arrived very early from the states and we were able to check in at 10 am. A big bonus after a long flight. The room was comfortable, especially the beds. We had the shared bathroom and it was always kept clean. The breakfast filling, when we woke up in time for it, and wonderful. In fact the one day when we slept too late for breakfast it was wrapped up for us and we were able to take it on the road the next day. It was always very quiet. Kurt and Jurgen were great hosts. Upon arrival Kurt filled us in on what there was to see and do in Ghent. I had, had a bit of a mishap on my final night in Ghent, leaving my ATM card in the machine of a local bank. And the personal service that Jurgen showed me at that moment really touched me. He drove me to the bank, called the bank, let me call the USA, and then dropped us off at the train station. You won't get that a chain motel. Yes, it's a bit of walk to the center. But, it's really not that bad.

We spent one week with Kurt and Jurgen in their lovely B&B in Ghent. They have converted a four storey old building into a very modern and comfortable home for themselves with three rooms available for visitors. The room we had was airy, with very comfortable beds. We shared a bathroom with one other room, but this was not a problem. Breakfast was served downstairs in the kitchenette which contained a microwave for heating food for supper. We saw more of Kurt than of Jurgen, since Kurt works from home as an architect. He is a very friendly and helpful person who speaks a number of languages. He made us feel very welome and helped us with maps, train timetables and local knowledge. As he is passionately fond of Ghent, we caugt his enthusiasm and really enjoyed exploring the city as well as travelling to other places in the region. This B&B is situated in a quiet street with safe on street parking. There is a laundramat close by and some shops within a 10 minute walk. The city centre is approximately 20 minutes' walk from the B&B as is the nearest train station. We felt that one would need a car (which we had) or a bike to be able to fully explore the city. In summary, it is a very comfortable, private, quiet and friendly B&B.

Thanks to TA we found another wonderful B&B to stay in on our recent holiday, Kurt and Jurgen could not have done any more for us, they were both very prompt at returning my emails, and we were gratefully meet and dropped off at the train station, what service, you wouldn't get that at a hotel.
For our 3 night stay we had that room next to the breakfast room with the private bathroom facilities, the room is generous with high ceilings and spacious bathroom in comparison to our establishments. The B&B is about 25-30 minute walk from the centre of Ghent, located in a quiet street, and there is a bus service close by which we used once. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks into the city along the canal, and to walk off all the beautiful food we had eaten.
Kurt and Jurgen's restaurant and attraction recommendations are noteworthy. The breakfast room is for the guests use at any time of the day, there is tea/coffee/cuberdons available, also free WIFI, and we were lucky to be given a nightcap. There is more than enough yummy breakfast provided, huge croissants, good coffee, yoghurt, cereal, egg, etc.
Ghent was a fabulous choice, there is so many things to see and do, we found the people so helpful and friendly, even being shouted beers in a local bar just for talking to a local. We definitely have fond memories of Ghent and Cuberdon.

I stayed at this Bed & Breakfast in November and am sure I will be there again, although it is not quite in the center of the town. Kurt and Jurgen do everything to make your stay comfortable and at the same time they are very polite and discrete, meaning: They don't talk to you if you do not want it. They offer everything what a reasonable B&B should offer: Very clean and nice rooms -- a very clean and nice bathroom -- very good breakfast . What more do you want?

I stayed at Cuberdon for a weekend with a group of friends and we were really happy with our choice. Kurt is a brililant host and provided lots of help and tips without being too overbearing. The accommdation itself was clean and modern. One couple had a room with an ensuite while the other two couples shared a bathroom. The shared bathroom was huge plus there were large basins in each of the rooms and a spare loo - so sharing was not a problem at all. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice and quiet being on a tree-lined suburban street. Breakfast was lovely and fresh - lots of pastries, good coffee, eggs and fruit. I'd highly recommend Cuberdon and the lovely city of Ghent.

This is certainly one of the nicest B&B's we've ever stayed in. Kurt and Jurgen were wonderful hosts, helping with directions, ideas and helpful tips for getting around Ghent. The rooms were immaculate, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh croissants, yogurt, eggs, cheese, juice, and great coffee. A great way to experience Ghent...we would definitely recommend a stay here!
