My family and I stayed here mid December - it is a well equipped property renovated to a really nice spec.
Contacting the owner, Kurt, was easy and our requests for a cot to be placed on the 3rd floor was handled easily. We were met by Kurt's mother Hilda who showed us around the property.
It is about a 20 minute walk into the center of Ghent or you can get the tram from a stop 100m away. We walked and found the center easily. There are also supermarkets very close by.
The only things I would highlight for consideration are the stairs are quite steep and with a 1 year old it was a bit of a challenge, although we managed fine, we just took our time when using them! Also parking may be a challenge as we arrived at 5pm and most of the street was full, however we were lucky someone left right in front of the building as we arrived. The next morning the street did empty though.
It was very quiet with no noise from adjoining properties.
We would stay here again and recommend Ghent as a great Belgium city.
Our great stay in Ghent was made by this lovely house which really felt like a home. Recently renovated it was clean and every small detail was attended to making us feel very welcome. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen extremely well equipped. We would definitely recommend this to others.
