“Same as Patershol, but far less tourists”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

West of the center, Prinsenhof feels more like a real neighbourhood. Less tourists, few restaurants. A butcher, a local pub, a baker. Great walks along the tiny river Lieve. Of the castle of Charles V, only one gatehouse is left. His statue is on the Prinsenhof Square, a very scenic place, but the bronze maquette of his castle was stolen, leaving an empty base. The Youth Hostel is also in this area.
