“Architecture designed in two medieval styles...a masterpiece.”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

Beautiful ornate building at one face is in Gothic and the other side has its delicate fine lines designed in Renaissance style. The other face of the building the much ornate side, if this would be given time to wash away the grimy part, then it could have a marvelous gleaming effect.

It was already satisfying to be there viewing from the outside, how much more to the interior. Had a great time visiting Ghent.

“Stunning architecture”
Reviewed May 19, 2012

This building has so much to take in, one just has to stand and stare to appreciate all the figures and effigies. Shame the surrounding area at this time is a building site!

“Beautiful building”
Reviewed May 17, 2012

Ghent is on the way to Rotterdam and it is worth an stop there. It is a typical Belgium city, with a nice canal and fantastic old building around. It was a surprise to see a large youth population on the streets.

“Nice inside and outside”
Reviewed May 7, 2012

The townhall makes for some great pictures outside, but the inside its also worth a visit. This is not always possible, but during the Gentse feesten (Gent festival) in July visits are free.

“Nice town hall, part of the Gent scenery”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

This is not much of a stop... Just a nice view while you're walking around. If you're planning your trip, consider a boat tour!
