We stayed at our first Ibis hotel here for just a night but we would def recommend it. The hotel was clean, the bed comfy and they were incredibly nice at the front desk.

It seems like each ibis is somewhat catered to the location it's in? This one had a bar that served lots of Belgian beer.

If we are ever back in gent, well def stay here!

We spent six nights here on a business trip and found the central location of the hotel convenient for business and for restaurants and museums. English is spoken fluently throughout Ghent and
the standards of cleanliness for the whole facility were high. Some of the reception staff were
very helpful; others not so. When I left a valued purchase there, a staff member made it his
business to find it and ship it back to me. The lunch purchased after the long plane ride was
not good; two alternatives, a panini (lots of cheese) and a pasta (heavy, lots of cheese). You can
also get a kebob, which we didn't try. But the bar is a friendly, open place; small rooms are kept
tidy. We asked for a larger room and got one the same day, and it made a difference. So three
or three plus is about right for this hotel. Consider it for economy and location.

Room Tip: Ask for a large double room.

Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Great central location. We had room 516 which had a view of the cathedral out one window and the square and belfry out the other - fantastic! The bed and pillows were so comfy, and the shower was powerful and easy to get the right temperature. Our room was nice and spacious as well. Parts of the room could do with a refurb but they've got their priorities right with a new bed and shower so a bit of woodchip wallpaper didn't bother me. The only negative is that because of the central location it can be a touch noisy and as I'm a light sleeper there were a few general city noises that started waking me up from about 6am, but that would have happened in all of the central hotels. If you are after something special or luxury then this would fall short but if you want a nice clean comfortable hotel in the centre of a beautiful city and want to save a bit of your money to splash out on some nicer meals then I would definitely come and stay here.

Professional, friendly and extremely centrally located, and happy to meet environmental requirements. You can probably get a better deal on the room at sites other than the Ibis one, but the hotel itself is very good and value for money. Don't worry if you don't get breakfast included, as there are better value breakfasts available in the excellent cafes nearby.

Right in the centre of Ghent, great if you can park your car at the hotel car park. Rooms were a good size and spotless. Bed was very comfy, only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities but you could get drinks from the hotel restaurant. Great breakfast, friendly staff, can't fault and would highly recommend!
