“Quality Belgian food”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Passion is centrally located and offers good quality Belgian food. My wife and I chose the Gent beef stew which was cooked in brown ale, and came with fresh apple compote and chips, and my daughter had home made tomato soup. All the main courses were excellent. My daughter also had a fresh fruit dessert, which was fantastic.

The restaurant was very busy, mainly with locals, so booking is essential. Some of the main courses on the extensive menu were quite expensive, but, considering the quality of the food, very good value. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

“Take the Gentse stoverij”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

If you want something authentic, this is the place.
They have a nice Gentse beef stew and you should drink it with a Keizer Karel Bruin beer to enjoy it to the fullest.

“The promise of Passion”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

My friend and I were fortunate to be staying quite close to this restaurant while we attended a conference in July. We had a salad; the salmon was a bit overpowering; however, their apple dessert was absolutely amazing. Staff were extremely attentive and very very pleasant. We went back 2 nights later to have some more dessert but unfortunately they were on the verge of closing. Definitely worth trying.

“Not as good as the reviews”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

My wife and I ate here a couple of weeks ago while on a stopover, having read previous reviews. Whilst the meal was OK we did not rate it as highly as others seem to. We decided on mains and dessert only and the main courses were very good, especially my rabbit casserole which was very tasty and extremely generous in portion size, served with roast potatoes. My wife had the Waterzoi chicken, again quite tasty and generous, served with mashed potatoes. We would have appreciated some other vegetables. The desserts were very disappointing - basically vanilla ice cream (not made in-house) with bottled (syrupy) cherries and whipped cream. The local blonde beer was excellent with the casserole - no wonder at 8% alcohol!! Service was quite friendly and the ambience is more like a cafe than serious restaurant.

“A perfect place”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

Unfortunately I didn't see the restaurant inside it was may so I took a table outside. Good wine, the asparagus a la Flamande was just perfect so as a mint tea with the bit of a chocolate pastry. The location is comfortable the view on the Sint Baasf is beautiful and romantic. The service is careful.
