Very stylishly designed boutique hotel. It even has a wellness including a sauna, a pool and a steam cabin.
Our room had a bath, but lacked a shower. Upon arrival the owner asked us to shower in the wellness, ofcourse water ruins the room. It meant crossing the 'public' rooms every morning towards the welness and taking a shower there in your bathing suit. It felt like being on a campsite.
There is a minibar, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks into the wellness. Coffee and tea are included but this means making a powder coffee by adding boiled water. Breakfast is not included, and there are no breakfast restaurants nearby.
The hotel is a 10 min. drive from the Gent city centre. We got there late in the afternoon and didn't feel like driving to gent anymore. The owner told us that there were enough dining options along the road but didn't recommend anything in particular. Try using tripadvisor, it turned out that there is at least one excellent option in the village nearby.
We could have known this before we went there as this is al witten on the website. Yet looking back I was expecting more comfort and service for the money we paid. I would not go back there or recommend this place to friends for the reasons stated above.More
