The fundamental point of this warm welcoming and relaxing establishment was it served basic good quality food, promptly, attentively with sizeable portions at a reasonable price. The Pork stew eaten comfortably at a clean, spacious well lit table was well cooked, so tender and flavoursome, accompanied by typical Belgian/ Irish frittes. The vegetable soup was also very tasty. Yes, it was an Irish Pub, but you could choose local [Belgian] beer [two of the group did] or even [Red] wine [one person did.] – All which were very good too….so went down well with the meal…

Don’t expect it to be like lots of other glaring garish Ghent gourmet restaurants, with endless menus trying to describe/ present some small half baked/ cooked/ raw prime overpriced [Beef/ Horse/ Veal?] meat dish offering with no veg… [And then when you go in they claim to be fully booked with loads of empty tables…]....

Offers a bland menu of food and beer. Inside is quite cramped and offers none of the interesting views and atmospheres many of the other pubs in Gent do. Avoid unless you are really desperate for a guiness

We've been in Ghent for two days and my wife insisted we should go to a pub.. So we did, and luckily, we've made the best possible choice. The environment was great, the food was amazing, the service was kind and the price was cheap, but when it came to that point, we were too drunk to care :-) Make sure you don't miss it when you visit Ghent, a perfect Irish pub!
