Unfortunately the owners have decided to pursue other interests and this restaurant has closed doors in February. I will need to chose another "best restaurant in Ghent"....

A very nondescript building, with no sign whatsoever on the front, hides one of the best restaurants in my recent experience.
We had lunch on a Saturday, and we were a bit short of time so we went à la carte, with an entrée and a main course, both fish.
W-O-W ! Both dishes (with tepid dorade and merlan as main ingredients respectively) were extremely well prepared, with super fresh ingredients, delicately balanced with accompanying veggies and served picture-perfect.
Very friendly and accommodating service. Limited but interesting wine list. "Interesting" decor.
Imho, a matter of time before a second michelin star will be awarded ... certainly worth it.

We took visiting relatives to C-Jean on Boxing Day for the 35 Euros lunch offer. This is a great deal for a Michelin starred restaurant. The non-meat option - a pollock dish - was perfectly succulent and flakey. The wine list includes traditional options and a few 'discovery' alternatives including an exquisitly dry Portugese white. Coffee and tea were served with petit fours including a mini lemon meringue cone. The decor is simple but classic... except for a large and illicit take on the Last Supper - our table including three elderly relatives hardly knew where to look!

It was a long time since we went to this restaurant. In the meantime there was a change of chef, so we were curious about the kitchen's level.
We were delighted about the mix of fresh ingredients, well presented, good service and a good wine.
The restaurant was crowded and this caused a lot of noise, the only negative aspect of a nice evening.
