This is a very sophisticated place in a very beautiful location and house in a very special and sympathetically restored old warehouse.
BUT - it isn't cheap. This is primarily a fish a seafood restaurant with wonderful sounding dishes. It's an ideal location for business dinners (if you want to impress), but I wouldn't go there with family or for a romantic dinner with my CBH (considerably better half).
The food is average, and considering the prices, actually a little disappointing. It's just not memorable in fact. For eating seafood you are best going instead to Pakhuis just around the corner, it's better food and cheaper but with an equally stylish restored warehouse vibe.
The chairs are awful. If you sit downstairs, then you're either at the front and perched on the front of an armchair or on a bar stool at the back. The armchairs are too big and when you sit back, you can't reach the table. The bar stools are just not comfortable and because they twist and turn when you move, you have the constant feeling of being unstable at the table. Upstairs, it's just armchairs I'm afraid!
There is a terrace at the front, offering 1 of the most spectacular dining views on earth, but this is a busy waterside street, so don't expect outside to be 'cozy'.
On the top floor is a very chic bar. It used to be a cigar bar, and loses something post smoking ban, but they play very hip music and it's a very trendy place to hang out after dinner.
All in all, this is a very nice place, but I wouldn't go there for the food, or if I was paying with my own money. There is better food in the city, trendier places to eat, and much better value on offer.
