Mainly due to lack of choice my friend and I ate here 3 times (2 times in the restaurant and take away pizza once).
The first time the food and service was good, and our female server seemed new at the job but was friendly and the job got done in the end. Both meals were filling and the Meringue Stavelotoise is a very nice dessert.
The second time we were served by a male staff member who forgot that we were even there. Additional drinks that were ordered did not arrive and we waited about 40 minutes for dessert (but where else can you go in such a small town)? The food was really good but the server just didn't seem to notice that we were sitting at a table with nothing on it.
For takeaway I was served by the same person, who seemed to take offence that I had asked for take away pizza (plenty of people do, we saw a few cars come and go each night that we had eaten in). When I arrived back at the hotel I found that neither of the pizzas had been cut, and the bacon on mine still had the bone/cartilage in it - too hard to cut that off do you think?
Anyway, the food is pretty good and is good value, the place is let down by poor service, but aided by a lack of competition.
