“Imposing Facade”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Taking a walk through the Quartier Royal which is traditionally home to the local nobility, you come across many interesting buildings and this one is no exception. You walk up the steps to the Upper Town and it is one of Brussels' loveliest buildings - at first approach it doesn't look like a Church, perhaps a town hall. The Church has suffered over the years including being destroyed with a new one being built around the late 1700s. Inside is very creamy white and not alot of "Churchy" character for a Church. The outside of the building is far more interesting. We didn't stay long and continues our walk. Would love to see it in winter with snow and twinkling lights around! It is worth a visit to admire the cupola alonge.

“Nice, old Catholic church, open for visitors.”
Reviewed June 11, 2012

Wicker chairs throughout the church. For Christmas, square next to the church is full of local taverns selling "glewvine" which is tasty.
