When you enter this restaurant, it smells like mine or a BBQ and when you look, you will see why. In the middle of each table there is a pit in which a coal BBQ is placed. You will get raw meat (or shrimps) and need to prepare them yourself on the BBQ. There is a choice of different cuts of pork and beef, and we went for the dry aged beef, which was absolutely superbe.
Apart from the meat you will get salad, sauces and thick french fries. The waiters are helpful and friendly and did their best to speak English and give us recommendations on what to eat and drink. Apart form good wine, they serve an excellent beer from a local micro brewery which I can highly recommend.
When I am in Liege again, I will go back !

This place is really worth it. Just get in and try it. I loved the concept, the fresh ingredients, the wines... It is busy, slightly noisy as it should be. Marc knows his business and is very welcoming and friendly. I will go again at the next occasion.

Stayed in Liege for a few nights during a trip with my dad for the 2013 Belgian Grand Prix. The race was rather dull, this restaurant, however was not.

A little establishment in a slightly seedy backstreet and rather shabby decor are, strangely, part of the charm of this absolute gem of a restaurant.

There's a great sense of authentic atmosphere, the owner is a cheery chap. The way the waiters bring out flaming coals, and set it down on the fire in front of you is a wonderful piece of theater, as well as being a great way to get your meat cooked just the way you like it.

The food itself is meat of absolutely top quality, and an interesting range of veg and potatoes and sauces with it.

Others have mentioned the special options from the wine menu. My dad and I polished off a lovely bottle of Red from the standard wine list, charged at 18 euros...no complaints there.

The restaurant appeared to be mostly filled with locals rather than tourists, which gives you that lovely smug feeling of having found a little gem off the beaten track, as well as allowing you to sample an authentic cultural experience!

An unusual quirky experience, without appearing gimmicky...with lots of charm and character. I'm not sure this restaurant would have much to offer a vegetarian, and around 20 euros for a main course is not exactly cheap, but not unreasonable for the high quality.

Very friendly, good value restaurant where you cook your own selection of meat and seafood on a charcoal barbecue brought to your table.

REALLY GOOD selection by one of our friends using Trip Advisor. Six of us were seated promptly (early enough and without a reservation). The meat selection was varied and you cook it at your table to your liking. Several different sauces were provided with the meats. The potatoes were OUTSTANDING. The only "drawback" (if you call it that) was the smell of charcoal. Who really cares ... I cook over charcoal at home and smell like that when I am done.
