“Going and Coming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

An ex Holiday Inn, it is now very tired, car park is a ruin and dangerous in some areas for pedestrians, it is at the side of the River Meuse near the city centre.

As an overnight stop on our Leger Holiday tour to Lake Garda in Italy we stayed two nights, the first on the out ward journey, we stayed in R221, very clean and tidy and of course comfortable, the second on the return journey after 13 hours of travelling, in R224, not so clean not so tidy and the bathroom very very tired.

We ate breakfast each time - absolutely delicious, very good choice and including sausages and bacon (proper bacon), served buffet style and very very good!

The first time on the outward journey, it was quiet, on our return, it was full and very busy with travellers/tourists from around the globe speaking myriad languages and all vying for the food, the hotel coped very well.

Would we stay there again - maybe not but this may be a little harsh, we really liked it first time!

Stayed here twice , each fior one night ,in a 12 day period whilst travelling with a coach company. Hotel was organised and dealt with the arrival of our party and baggage handling well. Rooms were large, with two double beds and furnished with good quality bed linen and fittings. On the second night there were problems on the third floor with plumbing. Our bathroom clearly had a leak, in another the toilet wouldn't flush whilst in a third the toilet wouldn't stop flushing. Staff were friendly and helpful and though the prices for food seemed expensive , it was good and the portions were huge. Breakfast was also plentiful. Overall it wasn't a bad place to stop but be warned, its position next to the congress center can make for a disturbed night when events close at 3am in the morning.Whist this is generally a good hotel it has "gone over" a little ie past its best but still has a slightly faded grandeur feel.

Room Tip: Check the plumbing before you unpack!!

Arrived soaked through after a long motorcycle ride through a never ending downpour, dripping water over the floor, to be met by very understanding and extremely helpful reception staff.
The rooms were very spacious and clean with plenty of space and nice showers.
Didn't use the spa, to my loss, but the breakfast was perfect and plentiful.
Would stay there again...

We stayed here for a weekend visit to Liege, and found it astonishing value for money. A large room with two double beds, good sturdy mattresses, little balcony, nice hot shower, good pressure; a lively bar downstairs with lovely staff, and a breakfast buffet to international standards. The reception staff were kind and helpful too. Situated within walking distance of the old town, I would definitely come back to this lovely city, for shopping, sightseeing and good food and drink.

Room Tip: Our room faced towards the back. I would ask for a room facing the river.

We stayed here on holiday with a coach company. There were three coach loads of people in the hotel. Although the hotel is big, the restaurant service was slow for evening meal and there were probably too few staff in the restaurant. The food was very good, but the hotel did not provide water on tables for evening meal. Selection of available at breakfast was very good. The hotel has free wifi. Air-con is noisy but will turn off!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river !

I just stay one night.
The Hotel may need some renewal, rooms also need some updates but are big (got one with two beds).
The lobby also is not very attractive.
The hotel was close to a disco, some noise disturb you in the evening, but not too much
one good point is the free parcking in front of it.
