We want to thank the staff of the restaurant so much for good food and service.
Special thanks to jeff who explained the menu to us.
Only minor minus was the wait between the meals.
We reccomend that the michelin star experts visit this restaurant.

We came to this restaurant based on excellent reviews on TA as well as recommendation by our hotel manager. And it's truly a fantastic restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. Fabulous food, great service and excellent price-quality. It is so good that we even find it worthwhile to travel 2.5 hours to Liege in future just to enjoy a meal there.

Do make a reservation in advance as it is a small restaurant and is very popular. Our hotel tried calling that morning (a Saturday) for a reservation but it was fully booked. We decided to try our luck by walking in early at 7.15pm when they first opened and were lucky enough to secure a table.

As our French is not that good, the server very patiently explained the items on the menu to us in English and Flemish. She also made good recommendations when we asked for her opinion on choices. The chef is also flexible in allowing us to deviate on the side dishes. All in all, great, friendly and warm service!

We especially love the white asperges with rivierkreeft and langoustine sauce appetiser. The main course with lamb, truffle and truffle mash potato was amazing. Dessert of molten chocolate hazelnut lava cake was out of this world. Simply delicious! Even the cappuccino was great - the foam came separate from the coffee. 'Foam' was actually whipped white chocolate! And all beautifully presented.

As we were only there for a long weekend, we wanted to go back again the next day but they were closed on Sunday. We can't wait to dine there again soon!!

I have wanted to try this restaurant out for a while based on their trip advisor rating.

Myself and a colleague gave it a go on a recent business trip, we were very lucky as we turned up without a reservation and managed to get the last table. Best reserve to avoid disappointment, the staff speak very good English.

I am very glad we gave it a go, the food was great, atmosphere nice, the service very friendly and for the quality of the food the bill was very reasonable.

I would highly recommend a visit, deserves its top ranking on trip advisor.

We visited this restaurant as a small family group of 4 with a 5 year old son in tow. From the minute we walked in we new it was going to be good but little did we expect just how good! The atmosphere is relaxed and very convivial. The menu is simple but caters for all tastes and has been skilfully put together.
The food was superb in every sense and there was a welcomed break between courses with no sense of urgency or rush. Nothing was too much trouble and the stuff even conjured up and impromptu birthday treat!
This place is a real gem and I have nothing but the highest praise for the food and service.
Helena who served us was probably one of the best waitresses I have encountered in many years of dining and made the whole experience just that extra bit special.
I'd never been to Liege before and now I need to find an excuse to go back!
Well done Le Dix-Huitieme, première classe!

I visisted this restaurant with a friend in March 2013. Very friendly people, one of them even speaks a bit Dutch. From outside this restaurant doesn't look very special but once you are in, you can taste the pleasant atmosphere. They offer a 3 course menu for 30 euro, some of them have a surplus. The cava and wine are served in beautiful glasses. The food is delicious. Very good value for your money. We will definitely go back there!
