Hotel was upto usual IBIS Budget standards with nice rooms. A slight minus was the receptionist messing up the room numbers a bit, giving me a room that wasn't cleaned yet. But even before I got to say anything in the reception, he had already noticed his own fault, and corrected it straight away. But that is what happens, when somebody check out late and the cleaning staff have already done their tour.

Stayed here for two nights to take part in the Liège-Bastogne-Liège sportive. As this event attracts cyclists across Europe and the world the town was busy. I secured two rooms in the Ibis for a reasonable price of €65 per night.

Parking was easy but as the hotel was full late arrivals would have struggled to find a space, but the car park seems just big enough.

The hotel were fine with bikes in rooms, but this is Belgium so that is not uncommon.

Rooms were clean but basic, perfectly comfortable. The shower was good but the head on mine had a leak making it hard to keep the floor dry as you got in. I had a double room to myself, but the ‘bathroom’ offers zero privacy from others in the room. Did not see how this was arranged in the twin rooms.

Avoid the smoking floor - if you don’t smoke, it stinks.

There are a few places to eat nearby, the hotel does a basic breakfast. Across the road was a great restaurant worth checking out called Marine.

Not the best location for the town without transport. The town was about 6.5km away but ok for our event as we had bikes but note it is all downhill so quite a climb on the way back.

Plenty of shops and supermarkets in walking distance.

Would stay again, staff were friendly and the price was right.

On arrival having asked the hotel for a ground floor room as my wife is disabled we were met by a very rude man who said we were on the 3rd floor take it or leave it if we did not take then no refund was possible so had to use it Took 20 mins to climb stairs to 3rd floor There is NO LIFT how ibis can put there name to this dump is beyond me We have stayed at many hotels with Ibis in Belgium and never encountered problems like this

Room tip: Avoid at all costs

Actually the title is wrong because it's to much money for what you get! Anyway I don't want to complain much about this hotel because it's an budget hotel so the standard things are just not there. The good thing is the WIFI it's fast and it works.

Tons of traffic between hotel and downtown area. When I arrived and left, the desk clerks were inattentive. The room walls near the bed were disgusting and the bed itself was very uncomfortable. Only positive was free parking.
