“Ramioul: Great day out, lots to experience”

Such a lot of fun at Ramioul! You can get several kinds of tickets and we had the all inclusive one... so we started our day with 'hunting prehistoric animals', we got an explanation on how to use a spear and went on our merry way into the woods, where you get to throw the spear at styrofoam animals. After an hour of 'hunting'we went into the ínteractive' museum, This was okay, not too spectacular, good for children I guess....

Then we had lunch at the canteen-like restaurant, not really cozy, but the meal was great: vegetable soup, fresh bread, nuts, dried meat and a fruitjelly, served with 2 local beers.

After that we went hunting again: this time with bow and arrow. We had to be back in time to join 'the animation'. Again: great for kids, for us the information was a bit childish.

Too bad though we had to be somewhere later in the afternoon, so we missed the experience of making fire and stone tools. But what we really regret missing is the cave... But I guess that was really at the end of the animated tour...

Loved the activity, would be even better if you could visit the cave in a roulation- system: part of the group goes to the caves, part of the group visits the experience part and part of the group gets information about the different era's.
Now we had to wait, and we were there early in the morning, the day got really long this way...
