We visited La Paz waterfall gardens today and had a wonderful time! We loved the Falls (beautiful) the gardens (spectacular) and the animals. For a private “zoo” the animals seem to be treated well and they were very accessible.

We ate lunch at the restaurant which serves a buffet of Tico food, pizza, salad & some Mexican food. It was good and ok priced at $14/adults & $8/kids.

The entry fee is way too expensive IMO thus the removal of a star and only a 4 star rating. $49/adult and $25/kids. These prices are expensive in the USA, Europe, anywhere!

Spend about 3-4 hours exploring this attraction.

This park is absolutely breathtaking! Lots to do and see and the price is reasonable. The waterfalls were magnificent. The animals are all well cared for and their exhibits are very natural in appearance. The butterfly garden had beautiful plants, flowers and of course, butterflies! The staff is very friendly and helpful and bilingual! The frog exhibit was much more than we expected! So many beautiful frogs! The walkways and the grounds are Disney caliber! This is a must see for anyone travelling to Costa Rica for sure!

As a waterfall enthusiast this is a must see. One of the most beautifully privately owned parks in the world. It is pricey at nearly $50 a person, but worth every penny. We stayed at the adjacent Peace Lodge so fortunately entry was included for everyday of our stay.

This was our second trip to La Paz. The first was in Feb. of 2007. At that time we had no idea the property existed until we stumbled upon a brochure and decided to make a side trip from Manual Antonio while returning to SJO. The park closes early so we had limited time to sightsee, hence the reason we returned on this trip.

The landscape is beautiful, the waterfalls are even better. The trails are well developed. The animal habitats, with the exception of the big cats, are decently sized.

Worth a day trip and even an overnight at Peace Lodge since entry is included.

this was a stop on a tour. I was told this is an animal rescue facility. Lots of native exotic birds. The butterfly house was interesting. Nice buffet lunch was part of our tour package. Water falls were fantastic.

We really had a great time here. The aviary is especially nice, with photo ops with the Toucans. The waterfall hike is very well laid out, and good exercise for anyone in reasonably good shape.
