“Lovely food and very friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

We attended a geocaching event with friends at the pub. Considering the number of people (there were lots of us) they coped very well and the food was very tasty. I had lasagne which was home made and tasted yum. We sat outside, but there was a friendly feel inside and room in restaurant and they have a beer garden around the back. There is also plenty of car parking spaces. Overall a nice friendly pub with good food and drink. Recommended.

Just arrived home from The Reindeer Inn, had a great meal, I had soup of the day and Haddock
real chips and mushy peas, my husband had creamy garlic mushrooms and chicken curry, with real chips. The meal was tasty, hot and served with a smile, great service. Booked to go again.
Just go and enjoy

“Don't be in a rush this is not fast food, but.......”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2012

Don't be in a rush this is not fast food, but good food. If you are in the area on a Sunday call for a meal. Three courses for £9.99 good quality home cooked food. You can get a vegi option, but they ought to have one on the £9.99 menu. Brillant would recommend to anyone!!!!

“A great find and we will be back soon!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2012 via mobile

This restaurant/pub is literally across the road from the national mining museum, the pub doesn't look much from the outside really but is fairly neat and well kept. As you go in there you see the selection of cask ciders and 2 of the 4 real ales that are usually on, these are all local and all in great condition, we sat down at a table in the conservatory where you get views of the mine. We served my a lovely old waiter who must have been in his 70's but still made you feel very welcome and as if you were at home which is always nice. The menu is short but all you could ask for with specials and vegetarian options on a separate board, I went for the chicken curry and Chips and I'm glad I did as it arrived hot and fresh, the chips were the best I had in years and the curry spicy and steaming. I also had a White chocolate cheesecake which was pleasant and filling :) will be back soon defo
