“A beauty”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

This is a beautiful grand cathedral in Mons. Steeped in history. You can see the golden chariot there. A quick walk from the train/bus station and from the Grand Place. Don't leave Mons without seeing it.

“Family Tour”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

I liked Saint Waudru's because of the immense history, much like so many churches in Europe, but also because it doesn't have as heavy a "tourist" feel like some of the more well-known churches (Notre Dame de Paris for one).

“Is this the Soignies Collegial? Cool place if it is.”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

I live in Soignies, and I'm pretty sure we're referring to the official title of the Collegial in the center of town. Can't miss it. It's about 1,000 years old, with a church existing on the site back into the 700s. Great composite architecture - Romanesque and imposing, with lots of added-on wings & rooms & chapels. Always open, go in the door on the north side. there's a museum that is only open a few small times per week or month, but well worth the visit if you can get there when it is open. From time to time you can go up in the tower, too. Enjoy the awesome woodwork inside!
