Hello,

Today at lunch time we had some croque’s at this brasseries and some salads.
One of the salads contained a worm, a living worm.
We couldn’t continue eating as it was so horrible.
Nobody apologized and nobody cared that it bothered us so much.

We strongly advise you to eat somewhere else where people are concerned what their costumers think and how they experience their lunch.

Best regards, Julie

This is a museum cafe and by British Standards it was excellent. The staff speak English very well and there is a cheaper set menu during the lunch period which seems to only last until 1.30pm!! All said it was very pleasant. The menu was yes - full of Belgium Food, not surprising as it is in Belgium.

I have to say that I'm not particularly fond of Belgian cuisine -- sorry about that, but the inclusion of all sorts of ingredients such as shrimp, mushrooms, and pate into dishes that don't seem to indicate that they would be there is a little disconcerting. Thus, if you are an English-speaking visitor, ask for the English menu...even then, I ended up with a field's worth of mushrooms, but at least I could eat around them. The cost is typical for a Belgian lunch -- around 15-27 euros -- so this is not the place to take the kids. You might have lunch in the nearby Rue Neuve, and then head over to the museum.
