“Nice frites, long queue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

I've been here once to taste the famous frites of place Jourdan. Well, they're good but I personally prefere the one of Place Flagey.
I'm not belgian so i don't have the local taste.

As usual in every good friterie you won't miss the queue.

“Most times excellent frites made from scratch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012 via mobile

9 out of ten times the frites here are the best in Brussels. I think the 10th time the oil was old or something like that. You buy the frites and whatever else you want. Sauces are extra. I ask for my sauce 'à part' so you get it in a small plastic container instead of the top smothered and nothing underneath! If you want just frites and sauce go to the left window, otherwise go to the right window. Lines can be long at times especially when busy. There are seats in the square where you can sit and eat. There is also about 100' from there the best pastry and bakery shop in Brussels!! I highly recommend it!
Bon appetit!

“Over rated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

Everyone rave about this place and the frites are really not that exceptionnal. Good frites but not at all worth the trip. If you happen to walk by the area and feel like eating some frites then yes, go right ahead. However, it's nothing to ride home about. I had better frites Chez Leon

“Great frites - lovely setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

Went here for frites after reading some great reviews and they didn't disappoint. The best thing was that a few of the many pubs round about have signs saying they'll let you sit and have a drink with your fries. We visited on a sunny day and it was lovely sitting with a cold drink and some hot frites. The large range of sauces for the fries was great - we tried a few and the mayo and the tartare sauce in particular were lovely.

“Probably the best fries in town”

In competitions with two other places (Bourse and Place Flagey) You have to go there, try it, and compare with the others!
