Description: Soul is a unique restaurant near Brussels’ Sablon, the brainchild of two expat Finnish sisters dedicated to creating meals that heal. Seriously. Almost everything at this comfortable, stylish restaurant is organic and you’ll not find any butter or refined sugar. What you will find are mood menus, like the Happy Menu or the Cleansing Menu, as well as set menus and weekly specials, and dishes specified for purposes like curing migraine. You’ll also find organic beers, wines, champagne and juices. Dishes include starter of mussels and lentils with garlic and white wine, main course of chilli beef noodles, and dessert of carrot cake. The dining room features typical Belgian décor, with wooden wainscoting, ochre walls, wooden seating and tables, and food-themed prints on the walls. Groups up to 35 can take it over and enjoy the food, then adjourn to dance it off at Havana. Good food, no guilt.

At first it wasn't terribly easy to find Soul as it is hidden away on a quiet Brussels backstreet - but after we’d arrived and sat down we were very pleased with our choice of evening meal. Firstly the all important atmosphere - which Soul had by the bucket load - with a buzzy younger hip clientele; nice lighting and background music. Secondly the food: Soul is an organic restaurant - and features an interesting variety of veggie options - but also organic meat and poultry dishes. Although it wasn't the largest of menus all our dishes were excellent. Service was good - efficient relaxed and friendly. The meal (for three) was also good value for restarants in this city given the quality. I would recommend Soul as a new and alternative Brussels eatery for those fancying something a little bit different. I'd also strongly recommend the Moinette organic beer they served - as this drink must rank as the perfect accompaniment for a meal. Delicious. Soul is popular so make sure you reserve a table before you go.

Only recently someone made me aware of this small resto in a calm side street very close to Sablon.
They are there already for 7 years but boy what a pity that I only visited them yday for the first time.
Service - great: friendly, warm, helpful and knowledgeable
Food - creative, fresh, tasty and colourful
Ambiente - warm, cozy and fit for purpose.

Yday was only the first time I went there, but be sure this is only the start of a long-time 'friendship'!

Restaurant is not big so would suggest booking. Tried do it by email from UK but got nowhere. The Finnish sisters who set this up have gone south to France but the principles still seem to carry on. Very friendly waitress who just about managed to keep up with customer demands. It has fairly basic decor and certainly rustic. Food tastes wholesome. Wine choice is limited. We enjoyed it and would recommend

I heard this place well recommended for gluten free options, and we were not disappointed when we visited a couple weeks ago. We were not very hungry, so we shared fish with a side of vegetables and mashed sweet potatoes. Very fresh and tasty.

It's in a cute area, but definitely out of the way, so mark it on a map if you're heading there.
The dining area is small, and was very dark when we were there in the mid evening. Service was generally attentive, though our waiter (the only one we saw there) made a face of disapproval when we said we would share the main dish, and informed us that they "do not have tap water." We ordered drinks, but since we came in after walking the area for a few hours, would have liked to have had some water.
Prices are a bit on the high end for the amount of food, thought it is clearly thoughtfully prepared.

Beautiful, fresh, exciting food in a lovely intimate setting with great service from friendly helpful staff without any stuffiness!! Been here twice and have been very happy both times with everything and look forward to my next visit. The thing I like most about the food here is that it is healthy compared to what's offered in most other restaurants so you don't feel so guilty indulging yourself in a 3 course meal with a bottle of organic wine! It's a haven for vegetarians too ..
