You should avoid this place and look around. Absolutely over-rated in all metrics. The service is far worse than in Paris and hey we are talking about Brussels located restaurant. Brussels is not that hot spot and these kind of restaurants makes it more worse. It was funny how servants didn't speak any English and understood the orders wrongly. Servants are extremely unhappy and maybe they are just victims of poor management. Don't neither lunch here because it could take more than hour to get your "surprise order". Avoid, avoid and avoid!

If you want to eat pittas or fast food things and pay more than the average...
The place is nice but still: you eat pitta and simple things for 4 euros more than in a normal snack.
Come on. And the service is not efficient.
One of the most over rated place in town.
Frankly nothing special.

It’s funky, the food is good and it has decent wines. The service is just plain maddening.

We’ve been to Le Perroquet several times over the course of three visits to Brussels in the past year. We usually decide to drop in for a lunch when we are finishing up a walk that takes us near the Sablon area. We always first remember the interesting pita sandwiches. And then remind ourselves that service was spotty. After this last visit, the shoddy service will unfortunately be what we remember first.

We stood inside the door for what seemed like a good five minutes with waiters and waitresses walking by as if we were invisible. We were standing but several feet from an empty table for two. We could have just grabbed it but we didn't know if it had been promised to someone else outside. Finally we grabbed a waitress (almost literally) and were seated at the aforementioned table. We ordered a glass of rose from Burgundy for me and a bottle of water for the two of us. I ordered a chorizo pita and She ordered a grilled chicken pita. Both come with veggies and of course the different sauces.

One would expect the first thing to hit the table would be the drinks. Wrong. The food was dropped on the table. I had to flag down our waitress and ask about the drinks. Had to do the same thing to get the bill. We weren’t the only ones – other tables were having similar issues. And it wasn’t with just our waitress.

The food here is a 4. The service a 2. Thus the overall rating of a 3.

This has been a favourite of ours from when we lived in Brussels and it is greatto see it still thriving. The pittas are inventive and really tasty and filling. It is always busy but, as others have said, the staff are great and have time for you - a rare phenomenon in Brussels in many places. The interior is lovely and the place is well located off the Sablon and near the Rue Haute/Rue Blaes/Flemarket area as well.

The pita fillings are interesting (and very good). The bar is well stocked... the building is quite pretty too. It's a great place to stop in for a relaxing lunch and a welcomed rest for the feet!
