Stunning on the outside and in, Vert de Gris is a jewel. From the host's warm welcome to the delightful server, gracious hospitality marked our visit. The dining room is beautiful with large picture windows opening onto the street. High ceilings, candelabras and mirrors radiate warmth and elegance. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant presents diners with an array of choices from meats, pastas and fish among others. The Saltimbocca, beautifully presented with roasted potatoes, carrots and a melange of peppers and mushrooms, melted in my mouth. The pasta was fresh and delicious. The tarte tatin was adequate but not exceptional. The apples were rather dense without the benefit of additional flavor.
The warm service and good food make Vert de Gris one of our favorites in Brussels.
