Don't mind sitting on the ground, don't mind eating with my hands, don't mind eating out of the same plate.
But what I do mind is eating overcooked food. You won't be needing your teeth in here...
It surely is an experience, but not one that I will have again.

We chose this place largely on the back of good reviews on Trip Advisor, but we clearly had a less good experience than others. It is a curiosity - not many of us are familiar with Ethopian cuisine - but on this experience, we found it stodgy and on the bland side. This is a nice place though - the staff were very welcoming and everyone gets a refreshing glass of bissap juice on the house on arrival, which was delicious. The food was less good. We went for one of the set menus and found the quantity way too much. Because you eat the food with pancakes, rather than cutlery, you end up eating more pancake than the dishes themselves. Half way through we gave up on the pancakes and used the serving spoons - and noticed other tables doing the same. The cost is not cheap - we paid 83 euros for the set menu, a bottle of wine and half of mineral water. We felt we would have done better picking one or two dishes from the a la carte menu rather than the 6 very similar tasting disheson the set menu. The other downside is that the restaurant is crowded with tables very close together. So worth no more than 3 stars for me.

Randomly stumbled upon this place, wasn't sure what to expect but had a brilliant meal and a totally new culinary experience. Really tasty and filling food, good atmosphere and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

interesting experience trying out ethiopian food. Not easy eating with your hand:) Staff explained how it works-very handy if it is your first time with ethiopian food.
Found it a bit expensive for what it is. Menu can be interesting but still....in my humble opinion a bit overpriced.
Good food, nice staff and nice place very central.

i went to kokob with friends and their kids and ours- we had a great time: for the adults, the place is charming, the deco is nice and the food is excellent, as well as the service;- for the kids it was an amizing experience: not only it is allowed to eat with fingers but it is promoted ! and you share all together a large plate and that makes it very friendly
in terms of food, it s great in terms of variety - so if you have complicated diet ;-) you can eat meat, fish, vegi, etc i shall also say that the selection of wine is correct with good prices
it is definitly a place i recommend if you have kids/ friends over for the week end visiting Brussels!
