“Descent, average Japanese food which no way justifies the ridiculously high prices!”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

Good sushi, sashimi and other typical and authentic Japanese dishes. However the prices are crazy.. I have no clue why. Definitely not because of the quality of food. Surprisingly, many of the dishes were quite tasteless. It is a mystery to me the rest of the praising comments and hymns here!

“Small and Discrete Place for Some Quality Japanese Food”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

Was walking around the streets of Brussels for a place for dinner in a cold winter's night, and was glad that I took a chance on Samourai. The place was very well hidden away from the main street, and did not offer any clues as to its food and menu, size and deco of its restauant (no menu showned outside of restaurant; both glass window and door were covered). The place was very small, and could hold no more than 12 people on the ground floor (not sure if there were other floors). The menu was very limited when compared to other Japanese restaurants, and very expensive too. We ordered the usual such as sake, sushi, sashimi, miso soup, katsu and some noodle, but I was very impressed that although not on the menu, they specially made us three unagi-dons when requested. The service was good, food was fresh and of the highest quality. The bill came to just over 300 euro for a family of five. Very expensive, but worth it (especially in a cold winter's night)

“Not bad”
Reviewed May 3, 2012

Nothing wrong with the food, but nothing spectacular either. It didn't have enough going for it (food or service) to stop me from trying a different Japanese restaurant next time.

“Verry verry expensive but good quality food.”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

The sushi was verry tasty, the lobster (strangely the same price as scampi's) was good, not the wow factor but good. The bill way too high (107€ for 6pc (3each) sushi and a main course with a glass of water for 2 persons)
