I have been living in Brussels for a couple of years, and everytime I want to go to a local good restaurant Volle gas is m y first choice.
The food is typical Belgian, with a great choice of every kind of local dish. However, when I go to Volle Gas, I always opt for the famous moules-frites. They serve the delicious and famous fresh mussles coming from Zealand with all kind of sauce: traditional, onion and cream ( my favourite), champagne, white wine, estragon, mushrooms and bacon, etc. Compared to Volle Gas, many restaurants of the city centre, including the famous Chez Leon, are more touristic with a downside on quality.
The restaurant is located in Place Fernand Cocq, 7 minutes walk from the Toison d´or and Avenue Louise shopping street. The atmosphere is excellent for a night with friends, for colleagues, family and lovely for a romantic dinner.
I definitely suggest it!
