The food at the Sea Grill, located in the Radisson Blu, is simply marvelous and surprising. I have had many fine dining experiences in several countries but chef Yves Mattagne convinced me easily to put him in my top 5. It is true this restaurant is far from cheap. Laurent Perrier Millesimé 2002 (x2), adjusted wines (for 1, I was the designated driver) and the 7 course menu ended up in a bill of 500€. The flavour explosions are more and more surprising course after course. Also bear in mind, we're talking the best seafood restaurant in the country here and as you know seafood is expensive. The quantity you get on your plate is according to the price, more than enough. It wouldn't surprise one that Chef Yves Mattagne is also the head consultant for Jet Airway's first class.
The staff is professional, no more no less. There actually might be a bit too much of them running around to my liking.
A couple of other issues though, Brussels city center is not the easiest place to park your vehicle and certainly not for free. A valet service is available however.
For those being claustrophobic this restaurant might not be a good idea, it is a large open space with large tables though there are no windows.
And finally, the restaurant's website is 'under construction'. This has been so for a year now and to me not very professional. I find an updated website with menu's very interesting. You can however get a bit more information if you go via the Radisson website.
In the end, the question remains... Would I return? Without a shadow of a doubt.
