Well worth a visit, go early to avoid crowds, suspect can get noisy when busy. Very acceptable food - reasonable prices, fresh mussels, not too sure abt the prawn croquettes, good fish waterzoi, good cabonnade

From reading a lot of reviews before visiting Brussels, 'T Kelderke was mentioned in quite a few with glowing reviews. Based on this I recommended it to my husband with all fingers crossed that it would live up to expectations.

It definitely did. We had dinner on the Saturday evening and there was no problem getting a seat, even though it’s located in the Grand Place. The service was perfect from the moment we walked it, with the staff making us feel really comfortable and welcome.

We ordered the rabbit stew and the Flemish stew which hit the spot, with generous portions and full of flavour. And both of course accompanied with frites. The desert menu look lovely, but we were so full we couldn’t order any more.

The location may seem really touristy but the food and service is not what you typically get in large tourist hot spots.

We ate here on our second night in Brussels after reading all the reviews and we weren't disappointed! We didn't have to wait at all - were sat immediately and had the choice of tables! The food was delicious and we enjoyed watching the chefs preparing it. The service was fab - the staff spoke perfect English and were very attentive offering good recommendations on food and drink.
A lot of the reviews mention having low expectations due to the touristy location. We had high expectations due to all the reviews on here and this place lived up to it! Well worth a visit!

Forget about the tourist street with the mussel restaurants, this is the place to go. Ate at Leon one night and here the next and no comparison. 'T Kelderke might be small, and you may have to wait, but it is worth it. Enjoy!

Had a really enjoyable evening here and was pleasantly surprised both at the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. Being on the Grand Place I hadn't expected much and thought it would be a classic tourist trap. However, the food was good, atmosphere was great, and whilst the service was a little slow that didn't matter at all.

I'd happily return.
