We ate here on our second night in Brussels after reading all the reviews and we weren't disappointed! We didn't have to wait at all - were sat immediately and had the choice of tables! The food was delicious and we enjoyed watching the chefs preparing it. The service was fab - the staff spoke perfect English and were very attentive offering good recommendations on food and drink.
A lot of the reviews mention having low expectations due to the touristy location. We had high expectations due to all the reviews on here and this place lived up to it! Well worth a visit!

Forget about the tourist street with the mussel restaurants, this is the place to go. Ate at Leon one night and here the next and no comparison. 'T Kelderke might be small, and you may have to wait, but it is worth it. Enjoy!

Had a really enjoyable evening here and was pleasantly surprised both at the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. Being on the Grand Place I hadn't expected much and thought it would be a classic tourist trap. However, the food was good, atmosphere was great, and whilst the service was a little slow that didn't matter at all.

I'd happily return.

Written up in both of our tourbooks, we came across 'T Kelderke after a long day of touring. We ate at the downstairs restaurant, and it was packed out from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. We were fortunate enough to get a table right away, but they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait.

The restaurant itself is small and cozy, with low ceilings and little light. Service was universally outstanding, from the charming host to the perfectly timed serving of our courses. I ordered a rustic ham on bone with lentils - a perfect, hearty end to a long, cold day of touring. My wife's carbonnade was easily the best we had on the trip, and the pear dessert we shared was a sublime end to a nearly perfect meal.

It's open for lunch as well, so if you're by the Grand Place and want to enjoy a great Belgian meal, T' Kelderke will fit the bill. Enthusiastically recommended
