The hotel is beautiful with a very relaxing theme of soothing colors, sounds, and design running throughout. It is centrally located, only a short walk to the train station and many attractions. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the peaceful retreat in the middle of a city that doesn't sleep. The bar and lounge area are very cozy and comfortable places to spend an hour before dinner or a few moments waiting for friends. The staff is very friendly and the overall environment of the hotel is very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We opted for a slightly larger room which did face out into the street resulting in some street nois...

We stayed here for 3 days and were quite impressed with the hotel overall, room was clean, and the bed was very comfy! shower was impressive too! The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room only when we was in the bar. Also when we arrived outside our window there was a dirty nappy that wasn't removed until the next evening, also our room service plates wasn't taken away when the room was cleaned.
One of the bar staff was unfriendly until we started buying the more expensive drinks! The hotel is in a good location and the rest of the staff were friendly!

Good hotel, great location. Almost always there were lines at the front desk, though the employees were very nice and well intentioned. Housekeeping wasn't great - often things got missed.

The bed was really comfortable. Our room was a little cramped and there was no dresser, making it a little less pleasant for our longer stay of 4 nights (not fun to continually have to dig around in a suitcase). However, with a 4 night stay there's a discount - so that helps! Breakfast too expensive at 27 euros. Better to visit a nearby cafe or bar for something half as much.

Dear,
Many thanks for informing us about your impressions!
Always better to speak out...
Strange is that you mention there was no dresser in the room; unless I am mistaking, all our rooms contain decently sized dressers.
Please, also know that we have a cheaper and quicker breakfast-to-go formula.
Wishing you well,
Gilles Devos.

I love this hotel so much.

Great location. Fantastic staff. Clean and modern interior. Fab food.

Really does have a lot going for it.

HOWEVER

Everytime I stay here I get incredibly sick (convulsions & passing out) I get a constant feeling of being watched.

This hotel used to be a monastery and I have seen something walking the corridors on a late return back to my room.

As much as I love this place it freaks me the hell out!

Very impressive hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel - (breakfast very expensive so we went to a local restaurant in the arcade each morning.) Good free wi-fi. Unexpected BBC channels on the TV. Bed and pillows very soft, pillows were a bit too soft for my liking. Shower brilliant. Coffee machine in room good. Hotel located in a quiet street but because our room faced into the inner courtyard above the restaurant our sleep was disturbed one night by some guests who were up and partying until 3am! We were there over the weekend and our room wasn't cleaned on the Sunday . Little disappointed with Brussels as a city destination.

Excellent value via the Eurostar package which cuts the standard room rate significantly. Rooms very comfortable with great bath and good reading lights. General lighting in rooms rather dull. Coffee maker and kettle in room but very stingy with the coffee capsules and the tea 'bags' and it is powdered milk! Great location and staff very helpful. Very wide choice at breakfast.
For anyone with a car there is no parking although there is an underground public car park close by. Europcar will deliver a hire car to the front door and collect it afterwards.

My husband and I have just got back from a 4 night stay. The hotel is lovely both inside and out. The staff are both friendly and helpful.
I can't believe some reviewers moaned about the "singing monks" sound in the lift, it is by no means annoying and we thought a nice touch given the reasoning.
We had a deluxe room on the 2nd floor, overlooking the courtyard. The decor is tasteful, complete with plenty of facilities, including: TV (with BBC 1, 2 and BBC news), a Nespresso machine and kettle, minibar/fridge. The bed was large and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom shower is known as a Monsoon and is by far the best shower I have ever used. It also has a smaller shower head if the ladies don't want to get their hair wet. Please note we had a shower only room. As some rooms have bath/shower.
Also within the bathroom is a dim light which stays on when the main light is switched off. This is by no means intrusive but a great attention to detail if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Both the room and bathroom have plenty of mirrors including a full length effort for the ladies.
On the landing there is an ice machine which again was a welcomed addition.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, and an evening drink on the terrace is something I'd recommend.

Food:
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, we decided against this due to the inflated cost.

Dinner:
We took a chance after being tempted by the restaurant menu to eat dinner here. I have to say the menu did not live up to its expectation. I had a tomato tart which was both acidic and bland tasting. My husband enjoyed his soup of the day.
We both opted for fish as a main course. Sea Bass and Sea Bream. We were both hard pushed to find the fish, maybe it disintegrated on its way from kitchen to table. On the whole really disappointed as the restaurant has a wonderful ambience and great background music.
I would only give the food a 3/5, it really did not live up to the expectation.
I'd recommend Vismets for an enjoyable meal out. Pricey, but excellent.

Should we return to Brussels we would certainly return to The Dominican

Top Tip:
Ladies, don't being your best heels if you visit Brussels. Mine got killed by the cobbles and I ended up losing a heel.
