Perfectly situated in the centre of Brussels. Within walking distance to all the sights.Very comfortable bed and great pillows. Nice, large shower area with a rainshower. Front desk staff very helpful with suggestions of places to eat. No hotel parking but the Ecuyer car park was just a short walk from the hotel. Would certainly stay at the Dominican again.

Great hotel in a fantastic location - a couple of minutes walk up from the Grand Place so you're within easy reach of the sights, bars and restaurants without having the noise & mess on your doorstep.

Plenty of cafes nearby for breakfast too, as the hotel does charge the usual small fortune for the first meal of the day.

The room itself was wonderful - the bed was huge and soft (mattress topper, so I'm sure you can have it removed if you prefer a firmer bed), the TV had a wide range of channels in several languages and the bathroom was well appointed with the little luxuries that make a place stand out - such as a fog-free mirror.

Unless you have a strong preference for baths, I really recommend getting a room with a shower. They have the monsoon showers that are amazing - there's nothing better for freshening up after a long day than one of these showers.

Behind the Brussels Opera House, and near shopping, major arts and government centers, this hotel provided all the creature comforts (exercise area, some spa services, good restaurant.) The design was superior--both pleasing and highly functional--a mashup of contemporary and traditional. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this hotel last week for a short trip to Brussels. I had an excellent stay. The rooms are completely my style; modern, elegant, not cold and just right. Very comfortable bathroom and bed. Also the location is walking distance to all that you'd want to see in Brussels (small city which can be toured on foot within about 2 days). One thing I'll note is that literally getting to the hotel may take some guidance as the street directly in front is closed off for some reason by a movable barrier, so your taxi may drop you off in front, or you will need to book one to pick you when departing, which the front desk can do. I also checked out the competitors (Rocco Amigo and Le Meridien) and found this to be superior for value, not too overly business like (Le Meridien) and not directly with all the tourist throngs (Rocco Amigo). I'd go back.

Room Tip: It's a relatively small hotel. I didn't have a "view". Don't think it's worth paying extra for one as your view would be of a building across the street.

I have just come back from a weekend break in Belgium and stayed at The Dominican with my sister. She managed to get a really good deal for a two night break and having stayed at this hotel before, was eager to stay again.
The Dominican is a very sleek, elegant Hotel which oozes class and professionalism. I can see why it appeals to so many visitors. The bar and surrounding areas within the Hotel are spacious and you can relax and really wind down.
Checking in was professional and stress free, however, we did think that they missed out certain information which we felt that we should have been told upon arrival. They failed to tell us when Breakfast was served and we actually then had an issue where it wasn't made clear breakfast wasn't included in the price. TWENTY SEVEN EUROS for breakfast? Shockingly outrageously expensive. No breakfast is worth more than £20 in my opinion. However, upon check out, this dispute was resolved with no hassle from the reception team. I think they realise that there is no advantage to them in having unhappy customers and if you are repeat visitors, they do not want to lose your custom.
The bedroom was of an adequate size with a really lovely king size bed. I really liked the pillows, I could feel my head sinking into the softness of the pillows! I also appreciate the Nespresso machine and three capsules. I'm a real Nespresso lover so I loved this touch.
Bathroom was clean and a powerful shower to match.
I would definitely visit The Dominican again, just a couple of minor issues. One, I feel there should be at least two staff manning reception at all times. A couple of times i had to wait quite a while as the one member of staff was tied up with a customer. Two, we did observe some not so great service in the restaurant/bar where people were having to get their own menus, ask to order drinks etc whilst the waitor was lighting every tea light he could find. They do like their candles in The Dominican!

Dear guest,
Many thanks for your nice review! I appreciate your style.
Yes, we do love our candles, but that can never be an excuse: the guest comes first! Always!
Wishing you well,
Gilles Devos.
