“OMG... fab fab fab fab fab!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

You will find this little peice of beer heaven situated right by the Mannekin Pis (the statue of the little boy having a tinkle!!). It is busy most days BUT don't be fooled if when you walk in there are no seats, they have seating downstairs too!

Thomas was our Waiter and each time we asked HIM to choose our beer for us. He totally knew what he was talking about and after getting to know him, what he doesnt know about beer isnt worth knowing!

They have hundreds of bottled beers, a smaller selection of draft beers, tea, coffee and soft drinks. We sampled a fair few of the bottled beers ranging from 2.3% all the way through to 12" (I know 12% for a beer!!!)... all the ones we had were lush - Thomas chose well.

I particularly loved the fact that you get the matching glass to your chosen beer! : )

They also did nibbles and food - we went for the mixed cheese and spicy sausage.. lovely, tasty and complimented the beer well (again Thomas' suggestion).

Price was, its up to you really... you can drink cheaply or you can spend as much as you want! I'd say the beers started at around £2.50 per bottle and went up to £50!!!

A little tip for you.... when going to the Toilet, look out for the discount board, there are loads of discount cards available, that'll save your money on the Site Seeing buses, museums, chocolate shops, waffle shops, and much more.

Enjoy. x

“Quirky, fun place for a beer”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

Decided to try this place as several people had mentioned it worth a visit. Once you climb the spiral staircase on entering, you are greeted with a strange mix of puppets, musical instruments, marionettes and other ephemora that hang from the ceilings and adorn the walls.

We sampled the local blond beers and shared a cheese platter and salami for lunch - huge portions served with bread. Not too pricey and definitely worth a visit

“Almost perfect, except the payment options”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

Situated right near Manneken Pis, this restaurant is very attractive and has a nice atmosphere and a wide range of food and drinks at a reasonable price (I loved their tomato soup!). The main and probably the only disadvantage is that it's not possible to pay there by a credit card, which is very unconvenient if you don't keep your money in cash. The staff didn't give a warning about that, which was a very unpleasant surprise.

“Happiest memory of Brussels”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

We fell into this place on a busy Saturday afternoon. The city was packed and we were exhausted. Three hours later we were still there! Great selection of beers, fabulous atmosphere and quirky decor. We sat outside before venturing inside. Lots of fun and very welcoming. The food looked great too.

“Welcome respite after looking for Mannekin pis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

It was raining and we kept getting lost looking for the mannekin pis, we found it, my husband couldnt believe what all the fuss was all about "you must be having a laugh" were his exact comments but then we found the bar: cosy, welcoming, warm and friendly. we are not beer drinkers but were persauded to try a couple of the more, to our tastes, exotic ones what fun and loved the eclectic decor!!!
