We followed trip advisor recommendations and booked ahead. Lovely small restaurant. Highly recommended. Small menu but cooked to order and delicious.

This relatively new restaurant accommodated our group of 18 wonderfully in an upstairs room. I had a starter of teriyaki seasoned salmon and followed with a perfectly prepared steak with a fine bearnaise sauce. Others enjoyed a large salad generously filled with shrimp and greens. Dessert was a delicious Crème brûlée with bits of speculoos blended into the cream. Noise level was high, but conversation still flowed smoothly. Most of the other patrons were speaking Flemish or French so definitely not a spot just for tourists.

Small restaurant with cosy but simple setting. Open kitchen with a lack of fresh air. Good value: 3 course menu >25€. Very friendly service but less professional. Ok for a dinner between friends, young couples, or people visiting Brussels staying in city center. I wouldn't go here before a party or an important date as long as the air problem is not solved.

We picked Abrussel for our anniversary dinner due to the good reviews on Trip Advisor and I'm glad we did as we had a great night here. I had booked via email a few weeks in advance and they advised we should ensure we arrived within 15 minutes of our booking otherwise they would have to let the table go which was fair. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived but soon filled up. We were near the open kitchen which was nice and the staff were friendly and chatty.

We ordered a bottle of Belgium red wine and the owner said it was a unique taste and got some for us both to try before he opened a bottle for us which was a great touch. The food was simply stunning, every course and dish was well prepared and cooked and we loved every minute in this restaurant. Highly recommend.

A memorable dinner. We ate at this small restaurant a few months ago in Aug '13, but the experience left a lasting impression that we still talk about. Not many tables, so reservations are important. The menu also changes regularly, so you can expect new and creative choices. The starters were both visually stunning and tasty. I had what could best be described as a chicken pastry. It had a spherical crust with delicious chicken and vegetables on the inside. Truly spectacular. We also had a veal filet mignonette that was cooked to perfection. The chef had used a high heat to sear the outside and seal in the juices, which he then allowed to cook slower until ready to serve. Great desert and wine topped off a wonderful dining experience and all at a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend and will return when next in Brussels.
