Description: Open from monday until sunday for lunch and dinner. ABrussel is a small restaurant only working with a small menu who is changing every month. Cuisine is simple, with a classic or more inventive choice. There is always a vegetarian choice available, as a Fish and a Belgian choice. We try to make our service friendly but not strict. Abrussel kids groups until 55 person. Possibility of privatisation of the first floor or the whole restaurant.

“Great food in amazing location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

My husband and I recently had dinner at ABrussel and were so happy! The menu changes every month and uses very tasty produce. I had smoked duck as starter with amazing cheese (weird combination? Not at all!). I went for the mussels as main and they were very tasty. Finally I still managed to keep some room for fantastic cheesecake. Now this is just the food side of the evening. This restaurant has the added value of literally being just a few meters away from the beautiful Grand Place (and yet it does not apply super inflated touristy prices for super fresh food). Also we very much appreciated that the chef took a few minutes to greet us at our table.
You've guessed it, we will certainly go back there when in Brussels.

“A very good eating experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

This like its neighbour Up North is near the Grand Place.
It is a very friendly place with the service being very good.
We found the set menu excellent and though as always with such a menu it may not suit everybody's tastes as a fuller menu might. Wines reasonably priced.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and found it very good value for money.
The set menu is can be viewed from the outside and if you like it then certainly give it a try.
Would have preferred a 4.5 score than 4.

“Good find, few metres away from Grand Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

Looking for restaurants to try in the vicinity of Grand Place, Abrussel was a great find. the staff was very helpful and menu is available both in French and English. A good thing about the menu is that it changes monthly. Presentation of food is great and the taste is special. Prices are reasonable comparing them to the other restaurants in the vicinity of the Grand Place. Worth trying.

“A great little find - thank you tripadvisor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

This restaurant was a tripadvisor find and it was deserving of all the lovely comments on here. Serving high quality Belgian food & wine for fantastic prices it was very busy with a constant flow of customers arriving. They have a limited but more than adaquete menu that offers a set 2 or 3 course meal for euro18.50 or 22 which proved to be excellent value.

The staff were very charming, polite and eager to please, without being intrusive.

The food was well cooked, beautifully presented & very tasty. I had a steak which was excellent. We also chose to try a bottle of the house Belgian wine based on other reviews on here and it was lovely and excellent value.

All in all I would highly recommend this small restaurant which being in the immediate vicinity of Grand Place you would expect to be so much more expensive than it is. A very rare find and one that i will certainly return to.

“Good food, good prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2013

We found Abrussel by chance when looking for dinner on our first night in Brussels. There are many places to eat around the Grand Place but most seem to be very overpriced or displayed pictures of rather unappealing food for people who can't read menus. Abrussel is different. It has a limited menu, with just enough choice. It changes monthly, which possibly discourages visitors from returning more than a once, but the food is good, portions generous and the service is friendly and welcoming. The prices seem to be good value compared with some of the other restaurants we looked at. It also serves Belgian wine, which is good try.
The restaurant is cosy but slightly cramped. Moving of tables is required to get into some seats and a couple of tables downstairs are in awkward positions, so be selective about what you accept. There are tables upstairs which we did not see.
Overall, a very good little restaurant serving tasty food at reasonable prices. We ate here twice and wouldn't hesitate to return next time we are in Brussels.
