What a perfect little gem that could easily go unnoticed. We had been in the Brussels area for seven days and decided to reduce our walking from the Hilton hotel that day. This location was only a ten minute walk and highly rated on TripAdvisor. We both had a turkey breast and pasta dinner special, which was exceptional! There were many unique dishes to choose from. The quaint spot is refreshing and superbly decorated. I thought the glass covered ancient well on the floor was a brilliant touch. The French owner/cook/host and her friend spoke very good English. This was by far the best dining experience we had during our ten day Belgium trip. Don't miss this spot away from the tourist zone. Your tummy will not be disappointed.

The food is hearty and served in a very homely atmosphere by extremely friendly (and chatty) staff. It kind of felt like having a meal in your grandma's place, if she was the sort of woman who served dinner with beer and knew all about them. Food in Brussels isn't the cheapest so finding this gem of a restaurant tucked in an obscure corner off the tourist track serving great food at affordable rates (I spent about €10 for a main dish and beer) was the highlight of my trip!

I go here everytime I'm in Brussel. The owner reconices me even if it's been a year or more since my last visit. The food is fantastic and cheap.

You have to like meat in the dishes, and you have to like traditional stews and "casseroles" and other stuff like it. But then you're in for a treat!

The owner is very friendly and attentive, saw people even come there to chat for about 10 minutes. This place is a little gem and I'll definitely be coming back.

Had a lunch of plate of the day (meatballs with ham wrapping, in tomato anch chese sause), + bread, coffee and a great trappist beer, all for 13 euro. Very friendly staff.
