“Lovely authentic and hearty lunch in Brussels”
Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

Saw this reccomended in the brussels 'use-it' guide for young people. We went on the 19th July 2013 just before the owner headed off for her summer holidays-so make sure to check ahead if visiting soon as it may be still be closed. The restaurant was very charming and quaint, and the owner was so lovely and welcoming, spoke English and happy explain what the dishes were. As she was due to close in an hour's time, the owner apologised that there was only the dish of the day available which was a tasty fish casserole with red and green peppers served with rice. Never felt hurried at all even though she was due to close. For €8 it was extremely good value and very filling but nevertheless delicious! Would definitely reccommend for an authentic French/Belgian culinary experience and a hearty lunch in the city!

“Excellent food, excellent service”
Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

My boyfriend and I booked a table in advance for a Friday lunch on our first day in Brussels after discovering it was local to our hotel and the reviews were good on trip advisor, we were not disappointed. The restaurant is charming and Sandrine, the owner, is an absolute pleasure. So welcoming and spoke perfect English which was great as both mine and my boyfriend's French is poor. We were very well looked after the entire time and received a free aperitif, which was a lovely touch. Upon arrival we were the only ones there but s the lunch period warmed up the restaurant was rammed full of locals and they had to start turning people away (reluctantly). The atmosphere was great, but not too loud so that you cannot have a conversation. We had the dish of the day for once winch was sole (I think) with spinach in a creamy cheese sauce baked (this is as best as I can describe it). It was excellent, and massive. I was thoroughly satisfied by the end if it. To top it all off, it was SO cheap! 21 euros for 2 mains and two Krieks. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Brussels who would like an authentic Brussels lunchtime experience. Thank you!

“Local, friendly and authentic French "midday break"”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

The restaurant's ambience is friendly and casual, comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed the afforable pricing of the menu, and every dish was made with care from original home recipes past down from mother to daughter. I admired the home made dishes and the "French soul food" flavors, which makes eating local food much more enjoyable in a big metro city. I recommend Le Temp D'une Pose for your midday break in the city and enjoy some fun, friendly service from the Chef/Owner Sandrine, and a good cup of café.
