“A little out of the way but a fun museum”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

My son likes the Smurfs and saw a flyer for this museum so we went there the one morning it poured down with rain. A lot of it were of things we'd never heard of but it was a fun morning to spend inside while it rained.

“Interesting”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

The museum was interesting. The entrance fee was not too expensive, so it was worth the visit. Visit if you have the extra time. If not and you happen to miss it, you wouldn't miss much.

“Worth a visit, especially with kids”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

This Museum would appeal more to local than foreign visitors. I did not really grow up with Tintin or Asterix but I still enjoyed the Museum and there were the Smurfs! There are also great displays for Batman and Superman. Not my first choice but worth a visit,

“Small but beautiful”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

This museum is exactly what I wanted from the comic book museum and didn't get. It's a little expensive for the time it takes (8 euros), but the models and exhibits are really cool. I loved the Smurf village and models of TinTin. It's great for taking photos and is open on Sundays which was brilliant for us on the last day of our holiday. It's a bit difficult to find, walk to the square at the end of Rue du Marche aux Herbes and go into the shopping centre with the giant white Smurf outside.

“Poor excuse for a museum...”
Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

Why this place is billed as a museum is beyond me.

It's basically a few cool photo opportunities, which should be free.

Wandering round a big dark room which has some poorly lit 'exhibits' featuring mainly TinTin and some comic characters I have never heard of.

Seemed like it used to be a bit better maintained and now had just been left to rot...we were the only ones in the place, and we had seen everything in under 30 minutes.

Save your money, get a photo taken with the giant smurf outside and you'll have already benefitted from what this place has to offer.

Also, it's someone's 'personal collection' so no flash can be used on your camera - a shame given the place is so dark!

We are sorry that our museum have not been able to seduce you.
The originality of the place in addition to its prestigious collection is precisely the different setting of the state museums in addition to the fact that they are subsidized generally have a common style of "déjà vu".
Taking pictures is generally prohibited in most museums, in some areas we are allowed and only the absence of the use of the flash is to preserve the colors of objects (but you already knew that ...).
The key is to have at least one photo that you like with our Smurf statue outside the building.
We still have to improve ourselves not to disappoint, but no one is perfect
